Election 2017-18

Students Union Election was successfully conducted in College from 20th November to 29th November as per the schedule (Samay Sarini) given by Madhya Pradesh Higher Education. The Student Council is as follows: (1) Deepa Joshi of B. Co. (Comp. GArbaDay 2017

To mark Navratri & its traditional values, all the students gathered in the college campus in beautiful and traditional dresses. Garba Competition was organized for the students of different classes on 7th October 2017. Many prizes were kept for performances and students were awarded for Best Garba and Best Garba Dress in male and female categories respectively. One special prize was kept for Stylish Garba Group. Prize Distribution was done by College Director, Dr. Ashok Sharma. Dr. Priti Dixit, Principal, Choithram Fountain School, was special guest. Mrs. Archana Sharma was Judge of the program. Other guests who attended the program were Mr. Krishna Kuthal, HR Manager and Doctors from Choithram Netralaya. All the students along with faculties enjoyed full day in open Garba with rocking DJ. Program was coordinated by Prof. Ruby Bhatt.

                

Yoga Day 2017

On 21st June, on the occasion of International Yoga Day, College and School Staff along with Netralaya and Trust Office Staff did Yoga in joint celebration with Hari Om Patanjali Yog Sadhak Alumni Sangh. The program started at 6:30 am. All the staff members from Choithram College, Choithram School, Choithram Netralaya, Varma Union Hospital and Members of Hariom Patanjali Yog Sadhak Alumni Sangh, Indore, attended the refreshing Yoga Program. Many Asana’s, beneficial for neck, legs and breathing exercises were performed. The Chief Guest of Program were Dr. Ashok Sharma, Director, Choithram College and Dr. Manisha Sharma, Principal, Choithram College. Dr. R. C. Varma, Chairman and Mr. A. Varma, Managing Trustee, Choithram Fountain Trust, honored the program by their gracious presence

          

Annual Function Vividha 2017

On 8th , 9th , 10th March 3-days Annual Function of College Vividha 2017 started with Sports Activity on 8th March. Events of Sports On 8th March were: Boys Cricket Match, 100 mtr. Boys and Girls Race, 500 mtr. Boys, 3-Legged Boys and Girls ,Chess, Table Tennis Matches. On 9th March, in-house activities like Fireless Cooking, Mehandi, Rangoli and Salad Decoration competitions were done. On 10th March, it was all Cultural Programs like Solo Dance, Group Dance, Duet Dance, Skit, Solo Songs and Kavita Path. Chief Guest of the event was Dr. Rachna Varms, Managing Trustee A. Varma was Special Guest of the event. Winners of all the activities were given Certificates & Prizes by our Chief Guest. Other guests were Dr. Ritu Varma, Director, Choithram Netralaya, Dr. Priti Dixit, Principal, Choithram Fountain H. Sec. School, Mr. Krishna Kuthal, HR Manager, Dr. Aditya Vyas, CFT, Mr. Jain, Accounts Section, CFT and all the other staff of CFT. Anchoring of whole event was done by three students, ie, Shubham Roshan of BA (Hons.) Mass Comm- VI Sem., Nishi Jain & Simran from BBA – II Sem. Vote of Thanks was given by Prof. Ruby Bhatt, In-charge Professor of this event.

                                        

On Monday, 30th January 2017

Overseas Trustees visited the campus for the Closing Ceremony of Mega-Eye Camp. College students presented welcome and patriotic dance. The distinguished guests watched a small movie on Blindness produced by Mass Communication Dept. Guests inaugurated new library building of the college. Then these guests were witness of very interesting exhibition on 60 million years old Fossils. They got chance to see the Eggs of Dinosaurs. It was very nice occasion for the college staff to see these guests. It was a very exciting visit to all these guests as they got chance to enjoy Indian Food, Mehandi and all sorts of Indian Ambience everywhere. Hosts were chesrished to get such a nice guests from abroad. They were all astonsihed to know the number of Cataract Surgeries in Mega Eye Camp. It was very nice occasion for the college staff to see these guests.

Garba Competition was organized in college campus. It was a colorful event in which all the students participated enthusiastically. Dr. Priti Dixit, Principal, Choithram Fountai School was Chief Guest of the program. Manish Kadam of M. Com. – III Sem. & Sakshi Singh of B. Com. (CA) – I Sem. won Best Garba Prize in male and female categories. Varsha Mourya of B. Com. (CA) – III Sem. Won Best Dress award. Students of M. Com., B. Com. and BBA won first prize of Group Garba and B. Sc. (BT) girls got second position in Group Garba. It was much enjoyed program of the campus.Won Best Dress award. Students of M. Com., B. Yoga Department of Choithram College has organized its fist Dixant Samaroh for the first batch of yoga on Sunday, 14th August 2016 at 9:30 am. Dr. Narendra Kumar Dhakad, VC, DAVV, Indore was the Chief Guest of the function. Dixant lecture was delivered by Dr. G.R. Pouranik. On the same day an induction, welcome and oath Ceremony was also organized for the freshers. We celebrated TulsiJayanti. Every year we celebrate TulsiJayanti as SanskritiDiwas. The Chief Guest was Dr. SurendraBihariGoswami, Chairman, MP Hindi Granth Academy, Bhopal. Dr. Manisha Sharma introduced the guest to the audience. Dr. Ashok Sharma delivered welcome address and he gave an introduction of Choithram Institutions. Dr. Goswami delivered a very lucid lecturer giving example of Ram CharitManas. His one hour deliberation was appreciated by all the spectators. The whole staff of School, College, Netralaya and Trust Office attended and enjoyed the programme. Dr. Goswami was accompanied by Prof. Khare from Bhopal. Prof. Ruby Bhatt conducted the programme and vote of thanks was extended by Dr. PranavShrotriya.

       

On 27nd August 2015

National Sports Day was celebrated to mark the Birthday of Major Dhyan Chand. A seminar was organized on this occasion. Dr. Sunil Dudhale, Deputy Director, Sports & Physical Education Dept. DAVV, Indore was our Guest of honor and he delivered a lucrative and a very comprehensive lecture on “Career through sports”. Dr. PoonamKaushik, Sports Officer, Kasturba Gram College, Indore delivered a lecture on “Status of Sports in Colleges”. Sports Officers of various colleges of Indore participated in the seminar. Dr. Ashok Sharma delivered welcome address. Prof. Ruby Bhatt conducted the programme and vote of thanks was extended by Dr. Manisha Sharma.

       

On 2nd and 3rd September 2015

marked as milestone for college because as per the Sports Calendar of Higher Education, Govt. of M. P., Choithram College hosted the District Level Table Tennis Tournament of Boys Category on 2nd and 3rd September 2015. In this competition, 20 teams with around 100 students participated. Four colleges, viz., Holkar Science College, Renainance College, IPS Academy and UTD, DAVV were amongst the Semi Finals. Out of which IPS Academy was declared Winner and UTD, DAVV came up as Runner up team. The inaugural of this event was done by Hon. Vice Chancellor of DAVV, Indore, Dr. Ashutosh Mishra on 2nd September. He emphasized that Sports should be indispensible part of every student’s life. In our life span we not only meet victories but also defeats and Sports prepare us to accept the defeat and once again stand enthusiastically as well. Hon. Trustee, AshwiniVarma and Dr. Ashok Sharma, Director welcomed the guests. Dr. Manisha Sharma gave the summary report of whole event, Mr. SurendraSingh, Sports Officer proposed vote of thanks and Prof. Ruby Bhatt anchored the programme. On 3rd September, Dr. Ajay Sahni, Director, Physical Educatioan Dept. gave away the prizes in Prize Distribution & Closing Ceremony to ShivamBhatwere, Aakash Sharma, Harsh Sharma and VinamraKapoor: the members of winner team, of IPS Academy.

Seminar on Security & Privacy Issues in Internet & Social Media was organized by Department of computer Science. The Chief Guest of the occasion was Mr. VarunKapoor, I.G. (Police) & Director, P.R.T.S., Indore and Mr. SudeepGoenka S.P., P.R.T.S., Indore. Guests who attended the seminar were ShriAshwiniVarma Sir, Managing Trustee, CFT, MR. Krishna Kuthal, Mr. AdityaVyas and Mr. Rajeev Bhatnagar and Other officials of P.R.T.S., Indore. I.G. Kapoor insisted that virtual world of Internet has its own drawbacks, ranging from identitytheft, credit card frauds, phishing, stalking, hacking or in one word we can say ‘CYBER CRIME’, of which the users become a part, intentionally or unintentionally. He insisted the students to take care of their online activities & beware of the possible disadvantages of popular social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, whatsapp etc. I.G. Kapoor also stressed on the terrifying degree of drug addiction among the Indian youth over the past decades & highlighted the physical, social & emotional damages of drug addiction. Mr. VarunKapoor gave Golden Badge and certificate to ChandreshekharUpadhyayof B. Sc. (CS) – III Sem and badges to Kunal Singh of BCA – III Sem, SaniaGholapof B A Mass Comm – I Sem. and ChanchalaSabu of BBA – I Sem. Hon. Trustee,AshwiniVarma and Dr. Ashok Sharma, Director welcomed the guests. Director gave Welcome Address. Computer Science Head, Prof. Ruby Bhatt proposed vote ofthanks and Prof. KapilTarey anchored the programme.

P., P G College, Dhar hosted the District Level Athletics Tournament of Boys Category from 18th to 20th October 2015. In this competition, three students of our college participated : Detailsis as follows: Iqbal Khan of B. Sc (CS) – I sem. &Gourav Singh of B. Com. (CA) – I sem in 100 mtr, 200 mtr race and NizamShekh of B. Com. (CA) – I sem in Shot put and Long Jump.

under the auspices of NSS, YuvaDiwas was celebrated to mark the Birth Day of Swami Vivekanand. Surya Namaskar was performed by students of all the classes, On 25th January, under the auspices of NSS, National Voter’s Day was celebrated. Students were made aware of their Voting Rights. The programme was conducted in the “CCPS - adopted village Aurangpura”. under the auspices of NSS, YuvaDiwas was celebrated to mark the Birth Day of Swami Vivekanand. 3-days College Annual function “Vividha 2016” started with Annual Sports Meet on the very first day. Different Sports activities, viz, Chess, Table Tennis, 100 mtrrace, 200 mtr race, were the major point of attraction for students.On 3rd March, it was second day of Annual function. And the day’s activities were all in-house activities like Rangoli, Mehandi, Poster Competition on the topic – “Indore – As a Smart City”. It was much-much liked by all the students. On 4th March

the final day of Annual Function, it was all cultural events. Programme was inaugurated by College Director, Dr. Ashok Shamra. The whole programme was judged by Mrs. Kunda Joshi for Solo Song and Group Songs, Mrs. Archana Sharma for Solo Dance and Group Dances. Winners were given Prizes by Hon. Dr. R. C. Varma and Madam Varma. Mr. Krishna Kuthal, HR Manager also attended the programme. Achoring of whole event was done by six students, ie, Prakshali Jain &Priyanka Sharma from M. Com. – IV sem., ChanchalSabu and Nishi Jain from BBA – II sem., ShrastiShama and Sakhshi Sharma from B. Com. (Comp. Appl.) – II sem. Vote of Thanks was given by Prof. Ruby Bhatt who was also the In-charge Professor of this event.
